To ask the Scottish Executive whether, if Pringle of Scotland ceases manufacturing in Hawick, it will challenge the right of the company to continue to badge its products with the lion rampant and the Pringle of Scotland trading name by making a referral to the Department of Trade and Industry and the Office of Fair Trading under Statutory Instrument 2008 No.1277 The Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations of 2008.
