Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the aim of Hospital at Home to reduce pressure on acute hospitals, what its response is to hospital occupancy and delayed discharge remaining at reportedly high levels.

To ask the Scottish Government what assessment it has made of the impact of the expansion of Hospital at Home on waits of at least 12 hours in Emergency Departments over the last five years, in light of reports that waits have continued to rise, with more than 44,000 patients experiencing such a wait in 2026 to date, which is approximately 9,000 more tha the same period last year.
