Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body, regarding the eligibility criteria for the issue of security passes, when it last reviewed criteria for spouses or partners of Members, whether it will consider allowing the transfer of such eligibility to other significant family members as well as extending similar access arrangements to senior staff employed by Members, and what the rationale is for its current policy position on these matters.

To ask the Scottish Government what discussions it has had with Stagecoach regarding the reported ongoing punctuality and cancellation issues affecting the X74 service between Dumfries and Glasgow, including what steps are being taken to ensure value for money when services fall below acceptable reliability standards.
