To ask the Scottish Government how many individuals using the Thistle Drug Consumption facility in Glasgow have been referred to rehabilitation services to date.
Answer
The Thistle does not directly refer any individuals to residential rehabilitation services. Access to residential rehabilitation is arranged through care management in Glasgow Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services. However, in its first year of operation, the service made 612 referrals, with the most common referral to Housing and Accommodation, Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services, and the Blood Borne Virus Team.
The Thistle regularly refers to local Alcohol and Drug Recovery Services where individuals work with care managers to develop person centred care plans. The Thistle does not receive reports on outcomes of these care plans but is anecdotally aware of service users who have accessed recovery services including residential rehabilitation.
The effectiveness of referral pathways from the Thistle will be captured by the independent evaluation, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.

To ask the Scottish Government what the total value of fraud identified by NHS Scotland Counter Fraud Services has been in each year since 1999, broken down by NHS board.
Answer
NHS Scotland has benefited by £93 million arising from measures undertaken by Counter Fraud Services over the financial years April 2000 to March 2026.
Counter Fraud Services was established on 1 July 2000 and therefore no figures are available for 1999. An annual breakdown of the total value of fraud identified by Counter Fraud Services for each individual NHS Board is not part of fraud reporting arrangements.
