That the Parliament notes that over 80 young musicians and youth music groups across Scotland have received a total of £53,400 worth of small grants in the latest tranche of funding from Eilidh’s Trust; recognises that these grants will support over 2,000 children and young people across a wide variety of musical genres, such as pipe bands, violin, guitar, ukulele, wind and brass, choirs, percussion and song; congratulates Lochgelly Band, one of the oldest brass bands in Scotland, and all the other recipients, on their successful applications for assistance, and believes that supporting the development of young musicians and musical groups around the country is a very fitting tribute to the memory of Eilidh MacLeod, a 14-year-old girl from Barra, who was killed in the 2017 bombing of the Manchester Arena.
