Scottish Disability Sport: A Call to Action

That the Parliament welcomes the publication of the report, Scottish Disability Sport: A Call to Action, which highlights the barriers that disabled people face in accessing sport and physical activity, including concerns about benefits, transport, affordability and inclusive facilities; understands that the report is based on lived experience and sets out clear recommendations for systemic change to ensure equality of opportunity; recognises what it see as the vital role of sport and physical activity in improving health and wellbeing; commends Scottish Disability Sport for amplifying the voices of disabled people, and calls on the Scottish Government and partners to work together to implement the recommendations and deliver meaningful inclusion in sport and physical activity across Scotland.
