That the Parliament notes that 29 September 2025 marks the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste Reduction, as established by the UN to raise awareness of the environmental, economic and social impacts of food loss and waste; understands that one-third of all food produced globally is lost or wasted, contributing to food insecurity, environmental degradation and economic inefficiency; recognises the importance of reducing food waste through better production, distribution and consumption practices and, and supports efforts in Scotland and worldwide to raise awareness, promote sustainability and reduce food loss and waste at every stage of the food supply chain.
