Congratulations to K107FM on Five National Community Radio Awards Nominations

That the Parliament congratulates K107FM, a community radio station based in Kirkcaldy, on being nominated for five national honours at the 2025 Community Radio Awards; notes that the station has been shortlisted in the categories of elections and political coverage of the year for 60 Seconds Scotland with Charles Fletcher, celebrating and championing community radio of the year for the K107FM Community Space, digital content of the year for its Facebook presence with the K107FM page, volunteer of the year for Mike Butterworth, and the voices for all award for Alex Airnes and the K107FM Community Space; commends the dedication of the station’s volunteers, who give their time and skills to create accessible, inclusive and high-quality programming that reflects and serves the local community; recognises that this marks the sixth consecutive year that K107FM has been nominated for these national awards; further recognises the station's recent local success, including getting two nominations at the Fife Volunteering and Voluntary Sector Awards and winning the award for marketing and innovation at the 2025 Fife Business Awards; acknowledges the important role that community radio plays in empowering local voices and strengthening community cohesion, and wishes the K107FM team every success at the Community Radio Awards ceremony in Bradford on 25 October 2025.
