  • Motion reference: S6M-20336

That the Parliament congratulates Emma McAuley, who is a District Nursing Team Leader at NHS Fife, on being awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse following completion of the Queen’s Nursing Institute Scotland’s (QNIS) nine-month development programme; recognises that the QNIS programme, which consists of residential and online workshops and individual coaching sessions, requires participants to choose an issue for development that will have a significant impact on those whom they care for, so that the learning during the nine months is applied in practice; recognises that QNIS is a Scottish charity that works with community nurses and midwives to develop their professional skills so that they can deliver outstanding patient care, and congratulates the other 17 community nurses from across Scotland who have also successfully completed the programme for 2025, bringing the total number of Queen’s Nurses in Scotland to almost 200.
