That the Parliament welcomes the collaborative artwork created by Susan Warner, from We are Amused, and Lisa Graef, from Graef Sign Co, along with Laser Cutting by Balsa Blue, in Kirkcaldy; notes that this project has been installed at the iconic, old ABC Cinema on Kirkcaldy High Street, recreating the visuals of the cinema listing, with a Kirkcaldy twist on a classic festive film; is impressed that many of the red letters used in the signs are the originals from when the cinema was open, which were stored away in the King's Theatre building for many years; understands that the old ABC logos have been repainted and that there are newly designed film posters in the original display frames, again with a Kirkcaldy twist; welcomes that the installation brightens up the space and is a recognition of the importance of the cinema in Kirkcaldy’s high street heritage, and believes that the project can bring nostalgia and joy to locals who might remember going along to the cinema, as well as entertain people walking in the Merchants Quarter.
