Remuneration and related undertaking

On 16 May 2022, I received remuneration for the provision of match-day medical cover on 9 April for St Johnstone Football Club (McDiarmid Park, Crieff Road, Perth, PH1 2SJ). The sum received was between £0 and £500 before deductions for tax and national insurance. [Registered 25 May 2022]

Until the end of June 2021, I worked as a self-employed GP at a GP surgery in Glasgow earning between £10,001-£15,000 gross per annum, before deductions for tax and national insurance. I worked three days per week.

On 30 June 2022 I received remuneration of £402.16 after deductions for tax and national insurance for an out of hours shift as a GP for Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board, of 1055 Great Western Rd, Glasgow G12 0XH. [Registered 30 June 2022]

Until the end of June 2021, I worked as a self-employed GP at a GP surgery in Glasgow earning between £5,001-£10,000 gross per annum, before deductions for tax and national insurance. I worked approximately one day per month.

I am a self-employed GP. I work one day per week and occasional additional days during parliamentary recesses and earn between £30,001-£35,000 gross per annum before deductions for tax and national insurance. Until 30 October 2023, I worked for GP surgeries in Glasgow and Forth Valley for Forth Medical Group, RLA Health Ltd (of 168 Bath Street, Glasgow, G2 4TP). From 6 November 2023 I work for West Kilbride Medical Practice (of 107B Main Street, West Kilbride, KA23 9AR). I received my first payment from West Kilbride Medical Practice on 31 May 2024. Until 4 August 2021, I was Head of Medicine at Queen's Park Football Club, Lesser Hampden Park, Mount Florida, Glasgow, G42 9BA. I worked one day per month and earned between £3,000-£5,000 per annum. [Amended interest 6 Aug 2021]

On 31 January 2023 I received remuneration of between £1,001-1,500 before deductions for tax and national insurance for shifts as a GP at Sanquhar Health Centre (of Station Road, Sanquhar, Dumfriesshire DG4 6BT). [Registered 25 January 2023]

From 13 to 16 November 2025, I attended the Parliamentary Diabetes Global Network (PDGN) Advocacy Forum in Valletta, Malta, at which I gave a speech. The estimated cost of the trip, comprising flights and accommodation, was £1,000. This was funded by the PGDN (of 44 Howard Road, New Malden, Surrey, KT3 4EA) which is an organisation of parliamentarians who champion diabetes prevention, early diagnosis and the best treatments for all.
