On Thursday 22 September 2022, I visited the Stena Spey drilling rig, Scapa Flow, Orkney as the guest of drilling contractor Stena Drilling Ltd (Ullevi House, Greenbank Crescent, East Tullos Industrial Estate, Aberdeen, AB12 3BG). The total cost of return flights from Edinburgh to Orkney, meals, and one night’s overnight accommodation was £780. I also received gifts consisting of a pair of shoes, overall, and a bag worth £170. [Registered 24 September 2022]
From 7 October to 12 October 2023 I visited Delhi, India, as part of a delegation of the Cross Party Group on India. The purpose of the visit was to engage with FinTech and Culture organisations and senior politicians within the Indian government. The total costs of the visit, including flights, hotel accommodation, food and transport, amounted to £2,284.59 and were paid by Amit Shah, Director of Flight Path Travel (a tour and travel agency which sells, flights, hotels and tour packages; Office No. 1, Jubilee Business Centre, 211 Kingsbury Road, Kingsbury, London, NW9 8AQ). From 16 to 26 October 2025, I was part of a delegation of MSPs who met with the Prime Minister, Leader of the Opposition, with MPs, NGOs, entrepreneurs and artists in Bhutan. The purpose of the trip was to exchange ideas and information about our respective countries and legislatures. The costs of flights, travel within Bhutan, accommodation and meals amounted to £4,513.19 and were met by the permissible donor, the Tam O’Shanter Trust (of Little Milton, Nr Kingussie, Inverness-shire, PH21 1NS), a registered Scottish charity (number SC030043). Some personal costs, such as vaccinations, visa and travel to and from Edinburgh Airport were met by me. [Registered 17 November 2025]
