Mae MacInnes of Mharsanta Wins Rising Star Award at West of Scotland Thistle Awards

That the Parliament congratulates Mae MacInnes of Mharsanta Restaurant and Bar, upon winning the rising star award at The West of Scotland Thistle Awards 2025; understands that the awards ceremony took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, in Glasgow, on 25 September and that the awards are an annual celebration of excellence in tourism and hospitality; recognises that Mae is the general manager of Mharsanta Restaurant and Bar, which is situated in Glasgow's Merchant City, and that as well as running the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, Mae has played a crucial role in delivering the restaurant's award winning "Taste of Scotland" dining experience and has lead a team to deliver the "Make Travel Matter" experience as part of VisitScotland and the Travel Corporation's decarbonisation project; believes that Mae, originally from Skye, is inspirational, having started work in hospitality at the age of 13 and worked her way up to leading the teams behind successful and impactful projects in the industry, and wishes Mae all the best for the future.
